Stanford Research Institute

The Stanford Research Institute was commissioned by the ROC to create a report analysing Taiwan's comparative advantages and how these could be used to create industries that attract foreign investment. Their report advised Taiwanese decisionmakers to put emphasis on the plastics, electronics and synthetic fibres industries, as they had found them to match the island's disposition extremely well.
