On Romanisation

As this site mainly concerns itself with the political development of a region whose people do not use an alphabet to record their language, it is necessary to transcribe it to eliminate the language barrier. Since there is no definitive method of transcription, on most occasions I have used the versions most common in the literature, with the traditional Chinese text, aka. the one used in Taiwan, as it is the system used in Taiwan, and its Pinyin transcription in parentheses. The same is applied for several translated phrases.
