People First Party

The People First Party was founded in 2000 by James Soong and his loyalists who had recently split off from the KMT due to internal disagreements. These quarrels continued after the schism in the form of corruption accusations, tarnishing the image of both parties.

The party can be classified as being in the pan-Blue coalition, as it advocates for closer economic ties and eventual reunification with Mainland China.
