Penghu Islands

The Penghu Islands, (Chinese: 澎湖群島; Pinyin: Pēnghú qúndǎo) previously known as the Pescadores are a collection of 64 small islands in the Taiwan Strait just west of Taiwan. Historically the islands have been used as stepping stones for navigating the strait, be that for trade, smuggling, immigration, or even an invasion.

Currently it is under the jurisdiction of the Republic of China.
