Nineteen Point Program for Economic and Financial Reform

The Nineteen Point Program for Economic and Financial Reform were a set of policies enacted in 1961-64 that signalled the end of the protectionism that had characterised the 1950s. It liberalized the economy, reactivated banks, created a stock exchange and generally encouraged investment and the development of the private sector.
