New Taiwan dollar

The New Taiwan dollar is the currency of contemporary Taiwan. It was introduced in June 1949 by the provincial government to resolve the hyperinflation the country had been experiencing. The exchange rate of old to New Taiwan dollar was 40,000 to 1.
