Free China Fortnightly

Free China Fortnightly (Chinese: 自由中國半月刊; Pinyin: Zìyóu zhōngguó bànyuèkān) was a political magazine that advocated for democracy and the curtailment of Communist expansion. Even though it was state-run, its advocacy for democracy and liberalism led to it speaking out against the KMT on many occasions. In 1960, several of its key members were arrested and imprisoned, forcing the disbanding of the group.

Lei Chen, a prominent editor of the magazine, is credited as the founder of the Tangwai movement.
