1992 Consensus

The 1992 Consensus (Chinese: 九二共識; Pinyin: Jiǔ'èr gòngshì) refers to an informal agreement between the ROC and the PRC, whereby they acknowledged the concept of "one-China," but agreed to disagree regarding the more specific conceptions they endorsed. The consensus is said to have improved cross-strait relations, as it established common ground for the two sides.
